Performances and Singing in UGC (e.g., “I tried singing”, “I tried playing”)
The audio sources on this site may be used free of charge for musical works such as “I tried singing” or “I tried playing,” provided such use falls within the scope of the license.
Permitted conditions (use in musical works)
Use is permitted only when it falls under the audio source usage license’s “Scope of the license (b) Use in musical works”.
- Adding creativity: adding musical creativity to the audio source/composition, such as covers, arrangements, adding vocals, or sampling to produce a new track
- Distribution on UGC services: limited to distribution on user-generated, free-to-view internet services such as YouTube, TikTok, etc.
Prohibited uses
- Distributing or otherwise using versions that do not add creativity, such as mix-adjusted versions, loop versions, or collections for background listening
- Uploading/distributing to music streaming services such as Apple Music or Spotify
- Publishing, distributing, or selling processed audio as your own composed work
Specific examples of “I tried singing” / “I tried playing”
In principle, this refers to users singing or playing instruments themselves and distributing/publishing newly created video or audio content based on songs published on this site (whether by directly using the site’s audio sources or by the user creating their own accompaniment).
