Please read this before using any Audio on this site ("Audio" means each BGM track or sound effect file made available for download on this site).
By using the Audio, you are deemed to have agreed to this Audio License (the "License").
The Site Terms of Use also apply to this site and your use of the Audio. Please be sure to read the "Site Terms of Use".

Basic Terms

No copyright royalties or other usage fees will be charged for use of the Audio.
You are not required to display copyright or credit notices when using the Audio.
* Rights in each track remain with its composer or sound effect creator, who publishes it under their own responsibility.
In addition to this License, a composer or sound effect creator may set separate terms of use. In that case, their terms take precedence; this License applies to any matter not expressly covered by those terms.
* However, with respect to Basic Terms "1" and "2" below and the "Prohibited Uses" described later, this License takes precedence.

Warranties Regarding Audio

Audio on this site is made available on the condition that the composer satisfies the following requirements under the composer participation agreement for this site.

The composer holds all rights in the Audio, including copyright, moral rights, and neighboring rights.
The composer has not entered into an exclusive writer agreement, copyright assignment, management agreement, or similar contract with any music publisher, record label, production company, copyright management organization, or the like regarding the Audio.
If the Audio is a cover or arrangement of an existing work, the copyright in the original work has expired and the work is in the public domain.
The composer has not assigned rights in the Audio to any third party or granted anyone an exclusive license to use it.
If the composer shares any rights in the Audio with a third party, the composer has obtained permission to publish it on this site from all rights holders.
Nothing else prevents the composer from providing, publishing, and licensing the Audio for user use on this site under this License.
If any Audio is found to violate the above, we may suspend its publication without prior notice at our discretion.

Scope of License

Subject to this License and any terms set by the composer or sound effect creator, users—whether individuals or organizations, and whether for commercial or non-commercial purposes—may use the Audio in any production in the following ways.
（a）Use as background music
Under this License, "use as background music" means using the Audio as a secondary element supporting other primary content. If you use the Audio as the primary content rather than as background music ("Non-Licensed Use"), such use is outside the scope of this License except as listed in (b) below. （b）Use in musical works
Under this License, "use in musical works" means creating a musical work (a "Musical Work") based on the Audio and the musical composition associated with it, provided that both conditions ① and ② below are satisfied.
① Adding musical creativity to the Audio or the composition associated with it—such as through covers, arrangements, vocals, or sampling to create a new musical work.
② Distributing the Musical Work on user-generated, free-to-access internet services (including YouTube and TikTok; "UGC Services"). Distribution, sale, public performance, or other use on media other than UGC Services is prohibited (including, but not limited to, distribution on Apple Music, Spotify, or similar services; registration with music recognition services such as Shazam; distribution as standalone BGM; and sale of physical media such as CDs or music boxes).
Users may edit the Audio (including cutting, effects, fade in/out, and similar processing).
Users may continue to use Audio downloaded from this site under this License even after that Audio is no longer published on this site.

Examples of use as background music

Use in TV programs and commercials
Use in stage performances (theater, readings, etc.)
Use in works submitted to video contests
Use for school assignments and similar projects
Use in YouTube, Ustream, web radio, and other online video or content distribution
* However, distribution where the Audio is the primary content—such as "BGM for work", "web radio focused on introducing music", or similar—is Non-Licensed Use.
Use in video, radio, and other live broadcast content
* However, distribution where the Audio is the primary content—such as "BGM for work", "web radio focused on introducing music", or similar—is Non-Licensed Use.
Use in stores, weddings, and other events
* Please download the Audio first and play it from external media (such as a burned CD, PC, mobile device, or MP3 player).
Use in paid or free apps (iPhone, Android, etc.) and web services
* This License applies to primary users who create works using the Audio within the Scope of License above. It does not apply to tool apps, platforms, or similar products. Please contact us in advance regarding incorporation into tool apps or platforms and licensing to their end users (secondary users).
Use in paid or free products or works (games, DVDs, etc.)
Use in presentation videos and slide materials created with Microsoft PowerPoint or similar tools

Editing examples

Users may perform the following edits to the Audio:

Converting file formats (e.g., MP3 to WAV or OGG)
Applying effects (distortion, pitch shift, etc.) to the Audio
* However, processing that departs substantially from the original or is deemed to significantly harm its quality is not permitted.
Editing such as cutting intros, extracting sections, or creating loops

Prohibited Uses

Use of the Audio for any of the following purposes or methods is prohibited:

Using the Audio in any production or content that violates applicable law (including Japanese law) or public order and morals
Using the Audio in any production or content relating to politics, religion, or other ideologies
Using the Audio in a Musical Work in a manner that does not satisfy the scope of the license described in "Use in musical works"
(Examples failing condition ①) Distribution or other use—such as remixed versions, loop versions, or compilations of BGM for work—without adding musical creativity to the Audio or the composition associated with it
(Examples failing condition ②) Distribution, sale, public performance, or other use on media other than UGC Services (including, but not limited to, Apple Music, Spotify, music recognition services such as Shazam, standalone BGM distribution, and sale of physical media such as CDs or music boxes)
In addition to the preceding item, using all or part of the Audio or the composition associated with it in a Musical Work beyond the scope of "Use in musical works"
Publishing videos or other content where the Audio is the primary content—such as "BGM for work", "healing music", or "web radio focused on introducing music"—without using the Audio within another work (without added value)
Using the Audio in any product, work, app, or other production whose primary purpose is to let end users listen to the Audio, or whose primary function is playback of the Audio
Distributing or selling the Audio, regardless of whether a composer or creator name is shown or falsified, and regardless of whether for profit or not
* This includes any method—online or offline, open or closed—by which end users can use the Audio by itself (including publication on the internet and distribution on CD or other media).
Using the Audio without conversion or other measures, in a form that allows end users to easily access or copy the underlying audio files
Public performance of the Audio, including live performance (and publication of recordings or video of such performance)
Creating, publishing, or selling sheet music derived from the Audio, except where we agree otherwise in writing.
Using the Audio to train AI systems
Using the Audio in any manner deemed to damage or risk damaging the honor or reputation of the composer or sound effect creator
Registering the Audio, the composition associated with it, or any Musical Work or other production (whether or not within the scope of this License) with a copyright management organization such as JASRAC
Registering the Audio, the composition associated with it, or any Musical Work or other production (whether or not within the scope of this License) in fingerprint systems on UGC Services or other platforms (including, but not limited to, Content ID on YouTube)
Copyright owners (or their agents) may file copyright claims against uses of the Audio that violate this License or the terms set by the composer or sound effect creator. If you receive a copyright claim on YouTube, please see "Using DOVA-SYNDROME on YouTube".

We cannot provide individual permission, case-by-case judgments, or responses to inquiries about permitted uses. Please refer to this License and the "FAQ" and decide at your own responsibility.
