暗く、淀んだ、ホラー以外に使い道が見えない、BGMなのかどうかも怪しい曲。リドリー・スコットがエイリアンの前日譚をやると聞きつけて、上がったテンションでその日のうちに仕上げました。ボーンッと定期的に鳴る不穏な音を下地に、いかにも「ええ、ホラーですけど何か？」みたいな効果音をバラバラと散りばめて雰囲気作りしました。この曲のかかる作品はきっと登場人物のどなたかがアレされてしまっていることでしょう。ちなみに「dead calm」という言葉はオドロオドロしい雰囲気ですが、実は「凪」のことだったりします。エルゴプラクシーという作品のサブタイトルから頂きました。
